I have a confession: I get a little nostalgic thinking about the Charlotte Hornets. The Hornets were MY team. They were my parent's team. They were every Charlottean's team.
We remember Hugo the Hornet and holding our breath as Super Hugo attempted his flying flip dunks. We remember Grandmama and the incredibly quick Mugsy Bogues. We proudly displayed our teal and purple. We loved the Charlotte Coliseum, electric with energy as all of the BEE-lievers cheered on the Bugs.
Rumor is that the Hornets are coming back to the QC. We've been waiting! So, come home Hugo!
** Another confession: I used to collect basketball cards. ; ) A little strange for a 10 year-old girl....

Hello, Charlotte
This past Sunday was a beautiful, spring like day in the Queen City.
Thank you, Lord, for reminders that it is not always winter.
The sun will shine again.
The trees and earth will burst forth with blooms.
There is life yet to come.
Every day on my drive home the skyline greets me with a different view. Sometimes the setting sun shines off the buildings, seeming to light everything on fire. Other times there are dark clouds behind the buildings that make them look closer and bigger than ever. Sometimes I smile as I see the city, almost as if we are greeting each other after a long day. Hello, Charlotte, good to see you!

Urban Cowboy
Anyone see anything out of the ordinary in this picture?
The other day I looked out my window to see 8 neighborhood guys ride by on their...horses?

Central Coffee
I just visited Central Coffee for the first time. Loved the atmosphere and the staff. They use Dilworth Coffee, so it was pretty delicious! They also offer the option of using a mug if you decide to drink your coffee there. Yum!

Queens Cup Steeplechase
I got to play dress up today!! I felt like I was in a movie....maybe My Fair Lady, where she dresses up and goes to the horse race and pretends like she is someone that she maybe is not and then gives herself away by what she says. I didn't give myself away....maybe everyone else around me was playing dress up too. It was fun!
