I just wanted to write a quick note letting you know what we did today. First we got up and walked thru a market. Oh my goodness, some people in my class bought a cute, helpless guinea pig and had the restaurant kill and cook it! ahh...i thought i was going to be sick. apparently it is a widespread peruvian custom, but i dont care. gross and sad.anyway, then we ate breakfast and got on the bus for and hour. we went up a mountain to a glacier lake. wow. it was breathtaking (because of the altitude and the beauty :D) Then we hiked for an hour down the mountain and saw some awesome waterfalls. everything here is beautiful. then we came back to where our hotel is and a bunch of us went to the market...i got some good stuff...cant wait to show everyone.
